MISSION
The mission of
the WV-INBRE, as part of the NIH Institutional Development
Award (IDeA)
Program is to establish a consortium among selected institutions of
higher education in the State of West Virginia to enhance their capacity
for educating and training their faculty and students in biomedical
research.

Charlie Chen of Alderson-Broaddus College, is currently
seeking a better understanding of the molecular
mechanism of ovarian tumorigenesis and angiogenesis

Chris Racine, Davis & Elkins College
Students and Faculty Present Research at 6th Annual WV-INBRE Summer Research Symposium
Christopher Racine, a college student from Davis &
Elkins College, had worked hard for nine weeks on a
research project examining how a weed killer called
propanil could damage the kidney. Now after all his
work was completed and analyzed, he was ready to
present his research results to fellow students and
faculty from around the State at the West Virginia
IDeA Network of Biomedical Research Excellence
(WV-INBRE) 6th Annual Summer Research Symposium at
