The Outreach Core of the WV-INBRE announces the availability of the WV-INBRE Visiting Speaker Award for the Network Outreach Institutions (NOIs). The purpose of this program is to allow an NOI to bring to its campus a speaker from outside the WV-INBRE network to present a research seminar and spend the day with faculty and students. There is one award available for the 2008-09 grant year. At the time the application is submitted, the speaker must have agreed to visit on the day proposed if the award is funded. The Outreach Core will provide a $500 honorarium to the speaker and cover travel, lodging and meal expenses up to $2,000. The application deadline is November 28, 2008. Travel must be completed by April 15, 2009.
