Dr. Reasor is Professor of Physiology and Pharmacology at the Robert C. Byrd Health Sciences Center of West Virginia University and a Diplomate of the American Board of Toxicology. He received his B.S. degree from Purdue University, his M.A. from Duke University and Ph.D. from The Johns Hopkins University. After joining the Health Sciences Center in 1976, Dr. Reasor conducted research on the pulmonary toxicology of drugs and environmental chemicals until joining the original WV-BRIN administrative core in 2001. As the WV-INBRE Outreach Core Director, he coordinates and oversees programs designed to develop the research interests and enhance their research capabilities of faculty and students at the Network and Extended Outreach Institutions. His academic responsibilities include teaching principles of pharmacology and toxicology to medical and dental students, as well as graduate and undergraduate students. He serves as an Associate Editor of the Journal of Toxicology and Environmental Health and is on the Editorial Board of Toxicology and Applied Pharmacology. As a member of the Education Committee of the Society of Toxicology, Dr. Reasor is involved in developing and implementing educational programs promoting toxicology consistent with the strategic plan of the Society.
